I’m on day 5 of a 21-day water-fast. My muscles feel a bit weak, especially in my legs. Is this normal, and if so, does it get better in a few days?
I’m drinking plenty of water, with added salt and magnesium.
Potassium is the electrolyte that helps your muscles contract correctly. Is there a reason you’re not supplementing it alongside the sodium and magnesium? I know some medications are potassium-sparing and advise against having too much in your diet. But otherwise you should definitely include it.
