I was quite successful with my IF journey for a few years and then stopped when I got pregnant this past March. I’m ready to hop back in! Starting with an 8 hour window and will decrease by 2 each week until I get back to 20-4.
After not being able to do IF for almost 10 months, I can say that it’s for sure the key to a happy and emotionally-sound “me”. I’ve missed it dearly!
Also doing IF postartum - congratulations on your new addition! I did something similar - started at 12/12, then 14/10, and am now at 18/6. I was pretty cautious at first becuase I heard mixed things about it affecting breastmilk supply, but I’ve had no issues there thankfully.
I second the emotionally sound part - honestly my favorite part of IF is that it reduces the noise “food” adds to my life. I’ve struggled with binge eating and other issues in the past and IF has helped me become a bit less obsessed with food. I still love cooking and eating, but having parts of the day where food is not a consideration has been really helpful for me personally.
