So when you guys lost weight did you lose belly fat as well or did you find that the belly fat was stubborn and had to do extra work for it?
My belly and waistline don’t seem to be reducing and I I’ve accumulated a lot in my love handles lol
Edit: Thanks for all your responses everyone
I held belly fat when I was doing 30,000 steps a day as a server at a 3 storey restaurant while doing a HIIT routine at the gym 6x per week and eating chicken and veg only.
Sometimes it really is just genetics.
It mostly came off closer to the end of the weight loss and I also attribute getting leaner by incorporating resistance training and muscle sparing into my weight loss as being equally if not more important.
“Stubborn fat”, body fat percentage, ‘skinny fat’ and body composition are all pretty closely associated and it’s not always just as simple as lose more overall weight.
Fat goes away from all over the body, it generally becomes more visible in some areas as there is less other fat to hide it with. Just fix your diet and exercise things improve in their time not yours
