I have been doing 16:8 for about 2 months and was hoping to find a good app for tracking fasts. I have tried “Fastic” but the app is not for me, it seems more tailored towards selling me a subscription than giving me any valuable insights into my fasting habits.
I use a widget on my Garmin watch that logs start and stop times, but I was hoping for a phone app that went a little deeper than a widget.
Yazio is my favourite :) I love that it tells you exactly what stage of fasting your body is in… makes it hard for me to break it some nights when I’m craving a snack and think about starting all the way from the beginning
There’s an option to pay for it - but I can do everything I want from the app! The free version only lets you do 16:8 fasts (but you can adjust the time of your eating that day for a longer fast or end your eating period early)
I use it to track my weight (but have another app for that too), water (i like that it shows how much water is in my food too), food (great inventory and a barcode scanner), and it counts down my fast with reminders it starts soon and ends soon
If your looking for a weight tracker app, I really recommend Happy Scale - it works to show your moving average so that if you don’t lose weight one day or gain slightly you don’t feel so bad (or at least i don’t)
i started beginning of January and am down 15 lbs as of today (okay 14.4lbs but imma round up)
Good luck!
I have been using Zero for about a week and I don’t recommend it, mainly because it seems quite skewed towards selling a subscription. The interface is really cluttered and you have to pay the subscription to personalise it in any way - including the simple removal of things you don’t want to track!
I’ve heard good things about LIFE and have seen a lot of screenshots from it on this sub. I don’t know from experience whether it is better, but it’s the one I’m switching to.
