I’m considering the stair master. All other forms I’ve noticed involves jumping to some degree and I need to be careful with my joints.
Honestly, whatever one you enjoy the most, or hate the least, and will be consistent with. Something you stick to will matter way more in the long run than the minor, in the grand scheme of things, difference of say an elliptical vs exercise bike.
Personally, I like an exercise bike for at home because it’s easy to watch tv and such and I like hiking, specifically rucking, on the weekends when I want to get out of the house.
Also, seconded on not forgoing some resistance training as well.
To lose fat you need to be in a calorie deficit. Add in cardio, which ever form you can do and what you enjoy is best. For toning I’d say add in some resistance training, bodyweight or with weights 3 x week
