Intermittent fasting used to be a daily thing for me, but I fell hard off the wagon about a year ago because of challenging life circumstances. I’ve gained some weight and I want to get in better shape for this summer. I’m back to IF and starting off doing 16/8. I’ll probably do this for the month of January to get back into it. But I would like to step up my game along with a gym routine next month. I know I can do 18/6. But is that the best for weight loss along with exercise?
I’m new to IF. Why is 16/8 not good enough for weight loss? Or is it good for weight loss but you lose more by OMAD or longer fasting period?
I just started. I’m doing 16/8 which is reasonable for my lifestyle with a family. I hope to lose weight doing it.
