Big Cheat Day

On week three.. was doing very well until yesterday. Ate like a horse last night - totally fell off the wagon, so to speak. Sat in front of the TV and pigged out on graham crackers and chocolate. Kinda felt like I needed it.

My plan today was just to move on with the usually IF/keto plan I was on prior to my derailment. Was considering a day of fasting to help restart. I’ve found a one-day fast often makes my body feel pretty good.

Answer

Go for a fast if you feel like you can do it without pigging out again when you are breaking the fast.

You seem to have a good mindset regarding falling off the wagon; shit happens and its not the end of the world!

Answer

Best thing you can do is carry on like it didn’t happen. Just go back to your regular routine. No need to fast to restart, unless you really want to and you think you’ll stick to it. Good luck, and no worries! Sometimes our bodies just need a break.

This is generally what I do when I’ve fallen off the wagon for a day. I tend to get really down on myself after I have a bad day so I can readjust my mindset by doing a 24 hour fast the day after. Making it 24 hours always makes me feel really proud and it makes me feel like I do have control of my cravings

Answer

When you fast for extended time like days and weeks, you’re refeeding it when you do these cheat days. The extra carbs are gonna help your body out especially if its been in a caloric deficit. Bodybuilding they call those days refeed days.

I was gonna do a cheat day yesterday but worked it into my meals and it was just another meal at that point, just one 10 inch personal cheese pizza.
