Hi, I started IF 16/8 on 15 December and have been doing well sticking to 12 - 8 pm eating and have really appreciated this sub for advice so far but I am finding that I am binge eating in the evening between 7-8 pm as I know I will be fasting soon.
How do I get out of this mindset, please? I am not strictly counting calories but am pretty sure I am not in calorie deficit because of this binging. How can I be better ‘strict’ with myself in the evenings?
I’m not sure if this qualifies as OMAD, but I have an active job and my fasting window is 7pm-11am. I eat a healthy but filling lunch and if I feel the need to snack in the evening, I have a handful of almonds and plenty of water. Water was the key that stopped me from bindging.
What foods trigger your impulse to binge? Usually, people binge on high carb & sugary foods. Remove such foods from your orbit. Try to fill up on on raw veggies and notice the difficulty in binging items like cucumbers, apples & carrots. Be honest about the fact that once you start eating certain foods you cannot stop from binging on them.
