Does black coffee help with curbing hunger during fasting hours? I don’t expect a miracle…but can anyone with experience share?
I have one cup off coffee in the morning and then chug water like I’m trying to catch a buzz off it. Really helps me to fill up my stomach if it’s feeling hungry. Probably only takes 10-15 minutes to work.
I would say staying hydrated with just water does the job for me. I only have my two cups of black coffee no sweeteners in the morning and then water throughout the day. Hunger is suppressed naturally during the fast is what I found so far, when you’re hydrated.
Caffeine is a diuretic so I don’t have more than those two cups in the morning. The human body has more stored energy than we think, beyond the food we eat. It’s actually thing too that energy levels spike when fasting.
I’ve been doing IF fasting 18 hours and eating 6 hours for ten days now and I can’t say I’ve felt groggy during a work day even if I was short on sleep but short on sleep for me is like under 6 and that’s really low but even then with IF the energy is there more so the groggines isn’t as profound compared to the times I was eating through the day and not fasting.
Watched a video recently saying any calories stops a fast how we there are things in coffee and green tea that as long as you don’t add anything keeps it going and even helps it. Video was by Thomas DeLauer. Not sure I’d he’s doctor though.
