I have started drinking a cup of bone broth before my coffee in the morning.
It’s only 40 calories so is this still technically not breaking my fast?
I would use bone broth to break a prolonged fast so in my opinion it will break your fast. And various youtubers like Thomas delaure and eric berg also suggest breaking a prolonged fast with bone broth
bone broth is for people who are on days long fasts or coming off of days long fasts. The “under 50 calories” thing is for people doing more extreme stuff so that they don’t die. It’s not for 16/8’s.
you can’t consume food and be fasting. So you can’t succeed at fasting as a strategy by finding food based workarounds.
If you want to eat soup for breakfast, that’s fine, but don’t call what you’re doing fasting.
