Breaking 5 day DF with kidney shot

Hello everyone!

I have been doing dry fasts in the past and right now I’ll be finishing a 5 day df.

I was wondering what is the best way to break it and I’ve come across many posts suggesting the kidney shot

However I’m a bit confused on how would that be. As far as I know when breaking a 3+ dry fast you’re supposed to take little sips of water every 30 minutes or so.

With the kidney shot - as the name suggests, should it be always taken at once or is it ok to sip it slowly? I’m wondering because I feel like if the mixture sits down for a while it reduces its effectiveness.

Also, how much water should I mix in it or no water at all?

Thank you in advance :))

Answer

I’m on Day 5 now, not sure when to break my fast, will follow my body. But if I do, I would sip melted mineral water first, half liter in 1- 2 hours, and then do the “kidney shot” ( you mean baking soda, right?) It’s somehow cruel to deprive my body of enjoying the purest high quality water after a long dry fast.

Regarding baking soda I would put 1 teaspoon in 250ml water and drink it in one shot.

Hope this could be helpful. Wish you successful fastbreaking!
