I’ve been doing 24 to 26 hour fasts for about 2 weeks, I just reached 51 hours and I want to eat! Can I have some steak with broccoli, kale and avocado?
I really need advice, I know it isn’t THAT LONG of FAST!
That isn’t long enough to worry about refeeding and that sounds like a great meal to break with anyway. You may want to stay near a bathroom but for me, I don’t have issues unless I break with carbs. Never do that anymore! Lol
Im doing/did Omad 24 Hr fasts for over 2 years and “refeeding” is not a problem as you your body adapts to your new eating patterns.
Even on a bit of extended fasts , it shoudent be a problem ,your meal sounds well balanced.
If its a first time / one of your first extented fasts, as mentioned above i would make sure to stay close to a toilet after the meal lol , though not necessarily its more like a lottery 😅
I would definitely break it slowly though. Start with a smaller meal like a Broth/soup or.. Like an avocado.. If you can.
Wait a bit like 30-60 minutes and gradually start eating my whole meal. Cause if i go and indulge on food quickly i tend to be full really quick after a fast and not get replenished enough in my own experience.
