Breaking a Dry Fast

Hello, I do many 20-48hr dry fasts daily/throughout the week and wanted more information to clarify when do you really need to properly break a fast ex. Baking soda, slow intake of water… I’ve never had issues with any food I put into my body prior to 72hr after that is when I notice the need to properly break my fast.

Answer

I’ve never understood and don’t agree with baking soda or snake juice to break your fast. When dry fasting, your body properly balances your electrolytes out of need. So, why would you immediately add baking soda or snake juice to imbalance them again? Just drink water. None of our ancestors would have added anything like that. They’d just eat whatever food they found and drink water. Just my opinion. I’d like to hear some other thoughts on this.

Answer

I personally drink water with baking soda, then wait, then more water. After that I have bone broth, wait a little more then I eat eggs. Later on I have a normal but smaller meal, chicken, avocado that sort of thing. I follow the keto diet so no carbs and sugar. Works for me perfectly.
