Breaking fast after working out.

Hello, I was wondering if anyone has any tips on what/when to eat after working out in a fasted state. I’m currently doing 16:8 & trying to burn fat & gain muscle. I often have a protein smoothie and maybe like a breakfast scramble & some beans. By then I am HUNGRY! Wanted to know if I am overdoing it and/if you had some better recommendations on what to eat to break my fast after heavy workouts.

When are you working out in comparison to when your fast ends? I hit the gym 5x per week in the mornings and don’t eat for several hours afterwards. Is yours like this or are you working out just before your fast normally ends?

I’m working out just as my fast ends. Hit the gym around 9am and around 11am I’m done and breaking my fast with whey protein + banana shake and eating till 7pm then repeat. Usually I eat two meals between 11am-7pm. I find it works for me quite cool, even if I get a bit hungry on some nights. Except leg day, I skip fasting then because I need food for that workout lol. You can try this way and see if it works for you.
