C8-MCT Oil Supplementation During Extended Fasting?

Has anyone found supplementing with MCT oil during an extended fasts (3-5 days) to be helpful in curbing hunger and reducing fatigue?

In the past I’ve consumed just water (2-3L) and medical grade salt supplements, in addition to the occasional plain sparkling water, herbal tea and black decaf coffee. I know a lot of people say the hunger passes for them after the first day or two but that hasn’t been the case for me. I feel like I’m starving, weak and fatigued the majority of the time.

Not a fan of the guy personally, but Tim Ferriss has an interview with Dom D’Agostino and they recommend doing exactly that.

Personally, I would try using exogenous ketones for the first 2 days. It might be the case that your body is taking too long to switch to ketosis, and that’s why you feel so bad. Exogenous ketones can help you with the transition.
