What are thoughts?

I am omad normally and doing a 72 hr fast right now. Carnivore only

When I do return to eating I wondering if it’s better to go lower fat meaning chicken versus beef for my omad.

I don’t have a ton to lose but enough fat to keep me okay on fasting

Low-calorie + fasting = failure.

If you fast, do not count calories, especially if you are carnivore based. You don’t need that. You’ll just end up falling off the wagon eventually which is stupid, knowing that you can keep losing the weight while eating fulfilling meals, you have no reason to do this to yourself.I think about Maia and some other people who tried to follow his plan and failed terribly. By experience, and I have lost a lot of weight while being a recovering sugar addict, it’s bad advice.I keep saying it but I will again, live like your ancestors did: fasting long and eating lots.You can check my two year old post about dry fasting for weightloss and not taking weight back while having huge refeeds.

Edit because I forgot to add this part: I think a lot of people believe they lose the weight because they don’t consume calories. It’s not really the point. Dry fasting and fasting in general is powerful for hormonal balance. Low-calorie diets will put a lot of pressure on your body and your body will push back through cravings, cravings based on your hormones being out of wack. Fasting and proper refeeds will keep your hormones in check, you’ll be able to be healthy to begin with and reach a healthy weight at the same time.
