Any thoughts ? Any actual science behind it’s benefice/risks ?
Summary of comments:
No evidence of benefits, but no evidence of risk.
Works for some because of diverse populations.
Vegans spouting vegan things.
People who buy beyond meat.
Nuance about the logic and theory.
People randomly bringing up Paul Saladino or Liver King because why not.
People trying to get through to everyone that red meat seriously doesn’t cause cancer.
Conclusion - Just eat whole foods. Don’t base your diet of Reddit reactions. Do you want to try Carnivore? Go nuts. Don’t want to? Don’t.
Sorry but there’s no science behind this at all. I did my whole PhD on paleo, keto diets. Definitely not good for your Microbiome. Intagrammers promoting this nonsense drive me crazy!! To have a healthy gut you need lots of plants, diverse plant intake and LESS meat.
