Can I skip breakfast and lunch?

Hey people! I would like to fast as much as possible. A little context: I lack some luck in dating. I have written a lot of posts about this, but basically: I tried a lot and it didn’t work. Someone told me to lose weight and that’s what I have been trying for a few years now. However, never with succes. Now I want to try fasting to see if it works.

I tried a few things before turning to fasting:

I know I should take more personal responsibility, but I actually need help. That’s why I want to try fasting as much as possible. I can skip breakfast and lunch pretty easily. It is between 15:00 and 17:00 when I am most prone to eating snacks. And at dinner when I eat with my family. I was wondering: what are the effects if I skip breakfast and lunch completely and only eat one meal a day?

Going straight to OMAD would be tough, it’s probably even setting yourself up to fail. Perhaps start with skipping breakfast, and on those days that you can’t and feel the urge to eat it, don’t worry about it, just try again the next day. Eventually once you get used to how hunger feels, and how to ignore the pangs, you’ll be able to increase your fast to 20+ hours.

So starting by trying to reach 16 hours would be a good target, it’s easy to achieve 16 hours if you stop consuming any calories after dinner, then you can eat after 10.30am the next day (if you’ve stopped at 6.30pm)
