Can I take Biotin/ Painkiller while fasting? + some questions

  1. I take biotin pills regularly and period painkillers (prescribed by doc) once a month during periods. Should I keep taking them during fasting?

  2. My upcoming planned fasting period overlaps with my period window and I’m thinking of either to start fasting after it or just suck it up and start the fast, Will it affect my health somehow? (I have low haemoglobin count to begin with)

  3. Im very confused on the “electrolytes” and It would be great if someone explain in European grocery store nomenclature. I understood table salt and baking soda and that’s it.

Answer

  1. Taking medications will probably not impact your fast.

  2. Can’t help. Sounds like a question for a doctor.

  3. If you are going to fast for longer than 48 hours you should consume some electrolytes. There is a link to info about this already in the first response to your post. Basically, table salt and water, plus a magnesium pill and a potassium pill.
