Can my eating window be in the late evening?

I’ve always been taught not to eat just before bed because of digestion and metabolism issues. Is there any truth to that? I’m thinking like a 3 to 9 pm window.

Answer

Yes! This is something new I have learnt about. I’ve personally tested it with my cgm too. Big difference eating early in the day vs later in the day. Look for eTRF (early time restricted feeding) to find some recent studies and discussions. Hope this helps.

Answer

I find I sleep better when I stop eating before 8 and take a walk after dinner. My main focus is on doing things to support my sleep. You should do what best supports your goals. These things are all along a spectrum. You get to decide where you fall and what benefits aren’t worth the extra effort.

Try it and see. If you aren’t seeing the results you want you can always adjust.

Answer

We’re all so different and should choose the windows that work best for us. Personally, I can’t sleep on a full stomach so my window is 3pm-7pm. I take the electrolyte sleep capsules for better sleep. Good luck on your journey.
