Can we get a dry fast/ weight loss thread here? Post days and amount lost.

I figured it would be nice to have one thread where people post their dry fast experience and how much weight they lost. It would be great motivator for everyone

Dry Fast 1: 81.5 hrs // Start weight: 302.4 lbs // End weight: 287.4 lbs // 3 days refeed weight: 293.8 lbs // Est. Weight loss: 8.6 lbs

Dry fast 2: 82 hrs // Start weight: 294.2 lbs // End weight: 277.2 lbs // 3 days refeed weight: 285.6lbs // Est. Weight loss: 8.6 lbs

Dry fast 3: 63 hrs (DF) 70 hrs (wet) // Start weight: 282.2 lbs // End weight: 269.4 lbs (DF) // 3 days refeed weight: 276 lbs //Est. Weight loss: 6.2lbs

Dry fast 3: Ended the dry portion of this fast early. This results from an experience during meditation of being directed to drink water and rest the body for the remainder of the day in order to prevent a serious health event from occurring. As part of my reason for dry fasting is spiritual, this is not guidance that I would choose ignore.

I felt significant spiritual & emotional benefits from this fast, despite it being shorter than intended, and remain positive as always.

Answer

Dry fasting is relatively constant on daily weight loss.

You can expect to lose \~ 3 lbs per day (ranging from 1 to 2 kilos depending upon activity) every day. Dry fasting weight loss doesn’t taper off like water fasting weight loss does as you go deeper into the fast.

You can also expect to gain back \~ 8lbs in the first 24 hours after breaking the dry fast due to rehydration… this is presuming you fast for 5 days or more.

Answer

Just to add to, I am 30 minutes past a 24 hour dry fast and I am down 5.6 lbs (2.54 kg) - I’m 5’8” tall (172.72 cm), am 36 years old and male. I basically lost weight during the first 12 hours and then very little after that but I slept on my lunch break, sat in my chair, and then slept from 5 until 10 after work so it’s not like I was doing anything physically that would have sped up water/fat/weight loss.

Answer

I lost 13.3lbs in 6 days. Snake juice for three days and dry fasted the last three. I’m 5’8”. Started at 200lbs. Finished at 185.7lbs. The dry fasting was toughest on day three. I was weak and with little energy. Not recommended if you have to work a job where you’re physically active.
