Hi all, I want to start a thread about what actual times your eating window opens and closes? I have been doing 16:8 for about a month but struggling to keep the schedule consistent with my work demands (I’m self employed and running two businesses plus a homestead). Does anybody else shift the eating window depending on the demands of the day? Does anybody feel that eating early or late in the day works better for them? I’m not seeing a lot of improvement personally yet but I do want to create healthy sustainable lifestyle changes so I’m gonna keep going and focus on my discipline. Any advice on this timing question is appreciated.
I eat between 8am and 4pm. This works with my timetable as I work an office job between 8.30am to 5pm.
I don’t work out, or do anything very strenuous. I’ve always been geared more as a morning person and found it difficult to skip breakfast. So I have breakfast and lunch, and try to remember to have an afternoon snack before the window closes. Skipping dinner is easy for me, and I consume only water or sugar free drinks in the evening.
I go from 18:6 - 20:4 throughout the week. I eat between 11:30am (or later) and end around 4-5:30pm. I eat two meals a day. No snacking with the exception of coffee and half and half in between the meals.
I sometimes vary when my eating window starts or stops, but generally my fasting window is anywhere from 18 to 20 hours and it’s pretty much always later in the day because I’m just naturally a night eater. Luckily that also fits in with my daily work schedule and my personal life.
I’m new to this and have been doing 16:8. I generally eat around 11am/12 but always close my window at 7pm, regardless of what time my fast ended. If I break my fast earlier then I will adjust the time so that my eating window is only 8 hrs, but that’s my general rule.
I have also been skipping weekends, with trying to be more mindful about my eating, but not restricting myself much
