If you mean putting a little milk/creamer in your coffee during fasting, you’ll still lose weight.
It’ll be just slower than when you do strict clean fasting. But slow progress is still progress, so do what you’re comfortable with.
In my case, I still add milk but removed the sugar completely.
People still lose weight just doing a keto diet without fasting so i would say yes of course its still possible to lose weight. Now some of the other benefits of the fast, you are probably losing but if your goal is to lose weight and thats all then put some cream in your coffee and call it a day.
Yes, obviously folks still lose weight through traditional restriction methods. I’d even point out that some people are doing the extreme opposite, lots of small meals throughout the day.
We’re all here to some degree because we feel/find that IF is the best method for ourselves, but even here there’s varying degrees of emphasis.
I read these forums to inspire me to not snack and eat much less during the day, however I do eat. Typically I have a latte, small snack for lunch like dried mango or one madeleine or coconut water. If there are office events that I must attend, like someone brought in a cake for bday I still eat the cake. The most important thing is I now track every single calorie and try to keep it to less than an average of 1400 a week. I’ve been losing 1 pound a week at height 5’1.75 with starting weight of 131 since Aug. A lot of research shows it’s not the fasting aspect that’s making you lose weight. Ultimately if you’re eating less than you need for maintenance, you will lose weight. The hard part is being honest with yourself in terms of how much youre actually eating.
I know the weight loss isn’t as amazing as ppl here who lose 10 lbs in a day, however at my size and height, losing 1 lb a week is huge for me.
Ok, I know this is not true IF, but I’ve been doing 18:6, drinking water with electrolyte drops and 3 cups of coffee with 1 tablespoon of heavy cream and 1/2 a packet of stevia in each one. That is spread out all day and into my eating window (iced). I also eat carnivore, mostly OMAD. I’ve lost 7 pounds in a month. I’m working on getting to black coffee, lol. I’m also doing IF/carnivore to get off diabetes and blood pressure medicine, feel better mentally and physically. I’ve seen pretty amazing results 4 weeks in. Of course each person needs to do what works best for them.
