Carby refeed. I'm so sleepy.

I was feeling fantastic after my first 64 hour fast last week. Had a 44 hour fast this week but had carby food yesterday and today and feeling foggy tired and super sleepy. Is it the carbs? Is it that I’m missing that clarity and great energy from fasting? Are keto refeeds the answer to avoid the rollercoaster?

Edit:. I want to lose weight and I’ve seen evidence for caloric cycling that seems to keep the metabolism burning hot….aren’t carbs necessary for that?

Refeeding after a fast is a stressor (a good one) but your body takes a lot of energy to get that digestion taken care of as best it can. Get that food nap. Nothing wrong with refeeding carbs from whole food sources, avoid refined carbs though. Spiking major insulin right off a fast isn’t conducive to metabolic health.
