Cardio with dry fasting

I am starting a dryfast for 3 days tomorrow. I still have to workout because I love it and truly it is my passion.

I’m curious what others think of exercise, specifically cardio on dryfast.

I’m so used to water fasting but I’m going to try this again with dry.

Thanks

Curious about this as well.

I went to the gym dry fasted about 13+ hours this morning. Did a couple of weight training exercises and an hour of cycling for cardio. Seemed to be fine, fell asleep good when I got home, but then again I was only 13+ hours on dry fasted state.

I haven’t broken my fast yet and going to gym again tomorrow morning. That time I’ll be 36+ hours dry fasted.

Definitely dangerous given your body is switching from ingested to metabolic water. If you work out too hard you will run too low on water and you will feel it. You CAN die from lack of water.

With that being said if you can do an easy run, keep your mouth shut, little to no sweating… probably fine.

I’m actually in a similar situation and testing the waters.

If you are actually dry fasting, you will find that cardio becomes more of a struggle with each passing day. The first few you might be able to manage based on how adapted you are to it. Light cardio is important - you will otherwise risk passing out. Easy to assume you’ll be able to work out until you are on day 4 and feeling dizzy and lethargic. And that can be very dangerous. I love working out as well, but I also recognize that fasting is a time of rest for the body. If you are working out, your body isn’t putting all its energy into what it can heal. So if you want to work out, I’d recommend water fasting instead.
