Well… This really is the real deal!
I’ve been carnivore for three years to improve my mental health and I’ve regularly water fasted during that time to help my slow digestion.
After researching dry fasting and realizing that constantly drinking water throughout the day inhibits fat burning and digestion I decided to give it a shot and completed a 30 hour dry fast.
It was nowhere near as uncomfortable as I expected it to be. The difference compared to how I usually felt was a marked improvement and my digestion seems to have been kicked into high gear, so yesterday I started 4/20 intermittent dry fasting. In the evening I felt so clearheaded, confident and calm it was like being loaned someone else’s brain.
I was open to the idea that dry fasting could be beneficial long before I tried it myself, but seeing how much difference it makes after just two days has been really eye-opening. It seems the human body didn’t evolve to need anywhere near as much water as we’ve been led to believe.
I am carnivore too! It’s great to see others doing this with dry fasting.
I have always tasted naturally, been carnivore 7 years.
I am shocked today because after my workout, I chugged a ton of water and ate during the day which I never do. I felt horrible and honestly inflammation is bad tonight. I am starting to really notice that I just can’t do it. I also have autoimmune issues, but carnivore with dry is when I feel optimal.
Do you all eat all kinds of meat?
I might try to stick to leaner meats maybe? I need to reassess my plan. I do not like how I feel tonight and I know it’s because I drank too much water, a diet soda and ate during the day. Apparently I cannot stray
My feet and legs are swollen. Lesson learned. Fresh start tomorrow.
I have a lunch meeting with my boss and now I have to eat during the day tomorrow! Ugh
Maybe I can fake it and just have 1 chicken wings and then rest to go.
