Clarity on <24 hr vs >24hr

So up to omad you are essentially trying to eat all of your appropriate daily calories in a certain time frame, right, got it.

When you are doing adf or extended fasts should one be trying to “catch up” on calories when they are in an eating window?

Answer

When doing OMAD, I make a meal that satisfies my hunger. That’s it. Even if I’m doing 18:6 (my usual), I don’t try to hit any caloric target. I just eat until I’m satisfied.

And I don’t try to catch-up (though I don’t think I know what you mean). If I fast for 24 or 48 hours, I still just eat to satiety. Even if I’m in the 2300 range, I don’t eat until I hit that just because I can.
