Close to completing my first 48 hour fast, should I try to push it?

I’ve been doing OMAD and trying to eat healthy low-carb meals since the start of January and seen no difference on the scale or how I look at all, so I tried to do a longer fast. Only a few hours away from the 48 hour mark and im definitely pretty low energy but not dying of hunger or anything. Is it worth trying to push forward another day or should I quit while I’m ahead?

Answer

Personally, id say dont push it. 48 hours is really not healthy or sustainable. Its good to have structure when eating but not be on the border of starvation or an unhealthy relationship with food. You want a lifestyle change not a 1 month fix then bounce back. Even if you arent hungry, you should eat atleast OMAD. You risk vitamin/mineral deficiencies and will crash on your way to your weight goal. You need to check your calories for your OMAD if OMAD isnt working. The calories for that meal should be below your TDEE.
