Coffee Question

So, I am looking to begin IF for weight loss. I wanted to ask a question regarding morning coffee. I understand that the strict rules are black coffee is fine but you can’t put anything in it. Would a small splash of milk truly ruin the benefits of doing this metabolically? Or would it simply not be as ideal/perfect as drinking it black?

I hope the nuance of this question in conveyed, eager to hear thoughts. I don’t need it to be hyperbolic perfection, just looking for some nice solid health improvements. Thanks!

Answer

Welcome to the intermittent fasters community. 😊 Basically, it’s different for every person, and the same products might work differently. Nevertheless, a splash of milk will not completely break your fast but will make it ‘dirty’, so we recommend consuming plain black coffee, which becomes tastier with time.

Best of luck with your goals!
