Hi, all. I’m e about to complete three weeks of IF and have switched to black coffee. Have you tried any sweeteners that work that do not contain sugar? TIA!

Answer

There are several sugar alternatives that can be used to sweeten coffee and make it taste delicious:

Stevia: This is a natural sweetener derived from the leaves of the Stevia rebaudiana plant. It has zero calories and does not raise blood sugar levels.

Erythritol: This is a sugar alcohol that has a similar taste to sugar, but with fewer calories and no impact on blood sugar levels.

Xylitol: Another sugar alcohol, xylitol is often used as a sugar substitute in chewing gum and other sugar-free products. It has a sweetness similar to sugar and is also low in calories.

Monk Fruit Sweetener: This is a natural sweetener made from the monk fruit. It is a zero calorie, zero carbohydrate sweetener that is many times sweeter than sugar.

Honey: This is a natural sweetener made by bees. It has a rich, sweet taste and contains antioxidants and other nutrients.

Agave Nectar: This is a syrup made from the sap of the agave plant. It is a natural sweetener that is lower on the glycemic index than sugar, meaning it has a slower impact on blood sugar levels.

Answer

There’s lots of viable answers, but I think this most directly serves you’re needs. Check out “Jordan’s Skinny Syrups“. No Carbs, sugar, calories. Some have a bit of sodium. Just recently got this pack myself and am pretty happy with them. Though I think once I finish them I’ll go back for just Carmel or vanilla being my favorites. I’ve learned to love good black coffee, but I also like variety and having options.
