Seen the question asked many times if Coke Zero or similar drinks are okay to drink during a fast but was wondering if it’s okay to drink after breaking your fast and during your eating window. I’m doing rolling 72 hour fasts for 10 weeks (on week 2 right now) and was wondering if it’s acceptable to drink Coke Zero or whether I should avoid it completely altogether?
Edit: Forgot to mention I’m doing a ketogenic diet with about 20-30g of carbs when I eat after each 72 hour fast
Avoid it if you can, but if it otherwise helps you to keep to your schedule and diet, go for it. Maybe even reduce the quantity (1 cup at most, and sip it throughout your eating window,), usually it’s about the taste, not the amount, that can help satisfy cravings. Sometimes it does the opposite though.
