I’ve been recently debating this with my peers.
It usually relates to 2.2 - 3.6g per kg. The thing is, you need to take into consideration your body fat. If you have low body fat, around 15%, you should eat more protein than someone who is sitting at 30%. So the lower your body fat, the higher your protein per kg consumption should be.
I would say that if you are at 180lbs, with 12% body fat, you should at least be eating around 250g of protein per day.
I can not say for sure (so please correct me in this if I am wrong!!), but I also had the idea that if you exercise, you will have a higher metabolism which will consequently make you able to process more protein. Can someone confirm or deny this info?
