I’m looking for tips on avoiding confusion and headaches with longer fasts.
I limit fasting time because I get confused when a I exceeds 17-18 hours. I also get headaches when I go past that length, even when I’m hydrated.
Is this just my individual biology, or is it something I can change? If so, how can I change it?
You need ELECTROLYTES, not just water. r/fasting has great info in the sidebar re: electrolytes, follow it. The symptoms you report are linked to low sodium. No need for commercial products, again, the r/fasting sidebar has it all covered, including the need for at least some salt to be iodized for thyroid health. It’s not your biology, it’s your not supplementing electrolytes.
