So I haven’t consumed anything since 3pm yesterday. I told myself I would start my fast today. Planning to do a 10 day water fast, with the occasional black coffee and cup of tea.
I am feeling a strong pull to go get lunch now. And I have the dull pulsing headache that comes on from hunger. I could always eat and start tomorrow when I feel better. Also the last time I went on a fast I cut out carbs 3 days before so that the transition into ketosis would be smoother.
Would it be better to eat and transition the right way or just straight in now? I know either way I’ll still benefit from the desired results. And maybe this is just an excuse to push off starting.. Like I’m hungry, but I could totally go with out food right now. But I also want the satisfaction of eating it. As well as I want the satisfaction of completing my fast and losing some excess fat.
I should probably just go into the fast. If not now then never.
You didn’t start your fast today. You started it at 3pm yesterday, so you’re already 21-24hrs in, if you’re in the US.
Make sure you’re prepared with electrolytes (sodium & potassium, mainly, but also magnesium).
