I have only just started fasting and I began slow with a 14 hrs fast, then moved on up all the way to 20hr ones.
The 20hr ones are super hard because I am constantly hungry, all the time. I want to do a 24hr fast and the move to a 48hr fast, but I am in constant discomfort from hunger pangs.
What can I do to prevent this?
I feel like I am prepared for the fasts before I start, but by the time I hit the 16hr mark I am just constantly hungry.
What are you eating when you’re not fasting? Many people find eating low carb or keto useful prior to fasting as they can give the body a head start in metabolising fat.
I’m never as hungry when I eat keto compared to the standard western diet.
