Controlling hunger

Since December 29th, I’ve been following the 16:8 fasting model. Been counting calories and focusing on eating more fruits/veggies/protein. I usually consume to just under my calorie goal. The trouble I am having over the past few days has been incredible hunger. I’ve been drinking lots of water and chewing gum, but I am still starving…Even though I am eating enough! Any tips or tricks to help? Thank you.

Answer

Look into clean fasting and stopping the gum. It might be triggering your hunger. I read fast, feast, repeat by Gin Stephen’s and she has a whole section explaining why little things like gum, even if calorie free can trigger an insulin response in your body, making you feel hunger.

Answer

Go keto.

Keto and IF fit together like peanut butter and jelly. Excepting the sugar and bread of course.

As long as I don’t eat carbs except from vegetables, I’m rarely hungry. Been doing OMAD for a year now.
