Could extended Dry fasting and ramadan go together?

Hello everyone,

As some might know it is the month of Ramadan and muslims around the world dry fast during the day and eat at night. People do it in different way but I personally eat one a day after sunset and try to keep away from carbs.

I want to dry fast (day and night) for 4 days during ramadan. It will be my first extended fast. And this is my program.

Is this a reasonable program or do I have to resume eating normally after a 4 day dry fast? In which case I would leave it for another time and stick to ramadan.

Thank you for your advice!

Answer

Hi there :) for Muslims fasting in Ramadan means also breaking the fast infact one must hasten to break their fast with a date or water it’s Sunnah and also eat suhoor before sunrise. I myself find it really hard to eat at night time so I’m just drinking a lot and eat some, salad and shakes and just real light keto food. I have had iftars where as it was carb loaded and I only realized three years ago that it was all that carb that makes me feel so tired and bloated
