Could fast before but now i cant

I was able to fast for 3 days after never fasting before. Then i started going down like 1-2 day fasts and now i cant even make it to a day. I dont want to eat but i always end up doing it anyway. Its not the hunger either, i can handle the hunger i just end up eating, I’m not bored or hungry when i usually end up eating i just cant control it. I want to go back to fasting for 3 days but i dont know how, im around 300-320, and no i cant really distance myself from the food since i still live with family currentlly.

Answer

You can take it by the numbers.

Fast number 1: the grown up fast. You simply eat clean, drop the empty calories, liquid calories, and do not eat between your 3 meals. That will give you 12 hours of fasting. It will also allow you to clean up your act with the snacking, which will help a lot when you go up the ladder.

Fast number 2: the 16/8 or what I like to call I just skipped breakfast. When you start your fast after dinner, on your first 12 hours you are either full or sleeping. You also avoid the insulin whiplash as it happened while you were nocked out. Same eating habits, clean and no liquid calories no junk. If you cleaned up the snacking this one will be trivial.

Once Fast number 2 becomes easy through habit, then think about what else you wanna try.

Answer

I am having the same problem. I feel like there is some “left over” food in your body – somehow, and when you first are fasting you can be really strict because your body is getting rid of that.. but once that is all gone, it becomes more difficult.

Or alternatively, you just get sick of it. At first it is new and interesting and you can be very strict but after a while you are hungry!
