If you are pretty heavy I doubt you will need salt , I mean like on the 3rd day if you feeling weak sprinkle some salt into your hand and just lick it . I live in Jamaica and alot of the different electrolytes and different stuff people take I can never find here so I pretty much do all my extended fasts with just water and when feeling down I just sprinkle salt and then I’m good to go

i have done 2 weeks without any electrolytes and i did feel a little dizzy after 2 weeks and had some electrolytes. Each person have different tolerances for sure but better safe than sorry I would take some electrolytes if doing prolonged fasting - the quantity is up to you. Remember that fasting you can stop any time you feel uncomfortable. If you do a keto diet you can jump back to fasting rather quickly as well. That’s beauty of fasting is you can stop anytime you want - you are in control of it.

I recently did an extended fast, I stopped eating on Christmas night, and I did not eat again until New Year’s Eve. That was about six days, give or take. All I did was drink snake juice the last couple of days. It was pretty rough, but I did it. Then again, I am morbidly obese so I have a lot of body fat to feed off. I am no expert, but I would not recommend an extended fast like this if you are anywhere close to normal body weight. Especially if you don’t have any prior fasting experience. I had to work my way up to it. I have managed to lose 53 pounds over the past 2 1/2 months by doing extended fasts, and I have documented it on my YouTube channel. I am basically learning about this as I go, so I am no expert, but I agree that a seven day fast is definitely doable. But if you were anything like me, the last couple of days you will feel pretty rough.
