>Are their free apps you use to track?
Fastic and Zero are the ones I see recommended fairly often, but I and a lot of folks don’t use anything. Don’t eat between X-Y hours is pretty easy to do. Though the apps might be helpful for reminders or long term tracking.
>I was told for meals they should be 50% veggies 25% lean meat and 25% carbs?
There’s no one way to eat. It’s going to depend on what your goals are. For instance, this is way too little protein for someone who is doing strength training.
For just getting started, focus on eating better food. More whole ingredients you’re cooking yourself and fewer things that come from boxes and restaurants. And the more filling foods you can include the easier it will be, so more fiber, protein, and good fats.
>I’m working on cutting out soda as that was the only thing I drink, looking to try to limit to one can a day and full water on rest.
Good plan. It’s really just a bunch of basically empty unsatiating calories.
