HA! IF always worked for me, but my weight loss was always slow. I was losing about… 2 lbs a month. And I had stagnated at around 225 (down from 250)
My “normal” weight that I want to get back to is 200.
But I had always eaten poorly, which is why I loved IF. I ate junk food, fried chicken, chips. Not ALL the time… but 2-3 times a week. I couldn’t stand the diets, but IF allowed me to eat those things, just couldn’t eat anything else for the rest of the day… which was FINE BY ME!
But I got COVID (again) in Jan. Loss of taste/smell and being sick as hell, I still stuck with IF… but since I couldn’t taste anything, all I did was eat vegetables and potatoes.
I lost 15 lbs in January alone lol, got down to 210.
I guess IF still has a plateau if I don’t want to change my diet to more healthy stuff… unfortunately, my taste buds have returned and I’ve had fried chicken and pizza like 3 times this week. I am back up to 220
I lost my taste and smell on May 7th, 2022, still have no taste or smell, and have lost quite a bit of weight.
Frankly, I’m scared to get my taste back. As frustrating as it is, sometimes, it has been a blessing.
