A calorie restricted diet that meets all the DRA of essential nutrients but is deprived 30% of the recommended calories per day (relative to age, height and activity level), will cause low energy levels and unwanted weight loss? (if started on ideal weight), i read a paper that concludes that when CR is initiated, the less fat is loss in the process the bigger the health benefits of CR.
If so, theres a way to solve the 2 problems listed above?
PD:sorry if my English is bad is not my native language
I’m going to paraphrase a lot of studies that I don’t have on hand.
There was a study that looked at CR in healthy people, unsure about BMI, regardless of the amount of CR the TDEE lowered with, energy levels are subjective and only at the lower levels of CR express problems with energy levels, however their TDEE tell a tale of shift towards more sedentary daily lives.
