Crunchy, low sugar, tasty, greek yogurt topping?

Started doing like strawberries, greek yogurt, and kashi.

Just looking for a crunchy healthier replacement for Kashi. Just feel like it has too many calories and maybe is too processed.

If you say something generic such as “Granola”, could you please be more specific. Is there a specific brand or style which I should take a look at?

Thank you

Edit1: I want to thank you again for all the ideas, for some reason the post is blowing up, almost 15k views in a short time.

I had some chia and sunflower seeds + peanut butter on hand so I tried that with the kashi, berries, and yogurt for dinner. Feel so full and only had a half a bowl.

Think I have some favorites already, still looking at all the suggestions. The Bran Flakes seems to be good for nutrients and low calories. The Cacao nibs look like a tasty way to add flavor if I don’t add too many. I really like the idea of making my own granola too. And thinking maybe I should look into that peanut butter powder stuff now, since the skippy I had on hand was like 190 cals for 2 table spoons.. only had 1.. too many cal for such a small amount. But definitely added some nice flavor.

Stuffed.

The best granola out there IMO is Purely Elizabeth. Very tasty and the ingredients are ridiculously good. It has sugar, but it’s mostly natural sugar like maple sugar or coconut sugar and it’s in low quantities. Amazon is running a sale right now where you can get an 8oz pack for $5 bucks and a 3 pack for $19. Here’s a link https://www.amazon.com/Purely-Elizabeth-Granola-Vanilla-Collagen/dp/B07RB7KM5S/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=simply+elizabeth&qid=1663432245&sr=8-4

Sometimes I add bee pollen for some extra oomf. Might not be for everyone, but mix that with berries and granola and it’s a new flavor/texture.

I also make my own granola so I can control the additives- it’s REALLY easy and you can add whatever you like.

Simple chocolate granola:

1/2 cup quick oats1/4 cup chopped almonds1/4 cup chopped walnuts2 tbs coconut oil2 tsp maple syrup1/4 tsp salt2 tsp cocoa powder1 tsp cinnamon

Mix, spread evenly on a pan, bake 6-8 min at 400d.

But you replace any of that with whatever you like and it works. Also keeps well for a while.

I like cacao nibs. My partner usually has purely Elizabeth granola, cashews and cacao nibs on his. I watch calories a little more just I just do the teaspoon of nibs but sometimes I’ll do a tablespoon or so of the purely Elizabeth too.

Kashi cereal (ie Kashi GO) is generally high in protein and significantly less sweetened than their granola. I’m sure other health-forward cereals can also be nice replacements, just check the sugar content before you buy
