Type of fast: 16/8 , no sugar or alcohol for 100 days and exercise everyday

Context : day 2 of fasting, day 43 of no sugar/alcohol (trying to see faster results)

Length : 16 hours

Why: honoring a family members memory through better health

How’s it going: it’s been a struggle to stay in the rhythm of fasting. I’ve actually found it easier to do no sugar and exercise..perhaps it’s the fear of “hunger” . I see such good results and want to accelerate weight loss in addition to my previous why. However, the first step is just health - that’s why no sugar and alcohol. (I do eat fruit). I’ve lost 8 pounds so far …. Started Jan 1

Type of fast: 18/6 (two meals)

Context of fast: Today is day 7

Length of fast (18 hours)

Why? : My goal is twofold, first to reduce weight and second to reduce or stop the need to take insulin for by Type 2 Diabetes.

Notes: So far so good, I am struck by the lack of hunger I am dealing with. I love breakfast but skipping it to extend the fast has been surprisingly easy.

Well hello sweet faster. First day of accepting the fact that I’d been cheating drinking my beloved 0 carbs Bangs, C4s and other such highly flavored carbonated drinks. Two cups of single serving coffee so far, since I ain’t got a coffee maker. Mormon family so it’s shunned and shamed and all that. Not high now but that’s the sacrifice.
