Hello! I’m new here but not new to fasting!
Type: water fast, OMAD
Context: I’m on my third day of OMAD, trying to ease back into intermittent / water fasting
Length of fast: generally I’ve been fasting around 22 hours a day with water and coffee and having a small meal in the afternoon or early evening
Why: I had a baby last year and I’ve just piled on too much weight since she was born through a combination of snacking, stress eating, and sleep deprivation! So my ultimate goal is to lose weight (I have around 50lbs to lose, starting at 195lbs). I just don’t feel or look good and it’s affecting my confidence and overall health, and now my daughter is eating solid foods I want to model good behaviours for her!
Notes: it’s going better than expected so far! I expected it to be tough running after a baby on not enough sleep but it’s actually been okay. I’d ideally like to do longer fasts but I’m not sure it’s all that realistic right now.
Hey folks! OMAD/Water fast, with the goal being to lose weight, improve my sleep, and overall improving my quality of life. This is officially day 7 of my journey, and so I’m here to report my first weigh-in! I’ve successfully lost 14.5 pounds, from 534.6 to 520.1! I’m sure so much of that is water weight, but it is exciting and refreshing to see a big impact! What I’ve liked most so far is that I can feel my hunger pangs becoming steadily less noticeable, and thus it’s easier to sort of just do the things I want to do without thinking about food!
Thank you for your time, and many wishes and blessings to your goals ❤
I’m new! 30f SW 164lbs. Gw 150. 2 days in. 10/14 fast. Start food fast at 7pm end at 9am. I want to slowly work my way towards 8/16. I want to lose weight and have more energy. I exercise regularly.
Yesterday was day 1 and I had a headache and some lightheadedness. I’m also counting calories and cutting junk food.
So far on day 2 I’m feeling pretty good. The last hour of the fast is the hardest. Had a minor headache but Tylenol helped with that.
I have mild hypothyroidism and am being treated for anxiety and depression. The medication can cause weight gain but thanks to exercising again I’ve managed to maintain 164. But I’m ready for more results
Water fast, 8/22 hours in.
I hope to accomplish weight loss, and it’s been working great so far! I’ve been able to lose over 30lbs since I started a month and a half ago, and I haven’t felt this good!
•Type- water fast•Context- my goal is to fast every Wednesday for 24 hours from the morning till night!•Length- I’m not sure when I will stop but maybe by the end of this month!•Why?- I’m more so doing this to focus on my productivity levels and more mentally aware of what I do when I have nothing to do so I have a better awareness of what I need and should be doing.•Notes- it’s going pretty well, my little cousin offered me gum just a second ago and thankfully I declined to keep up. I also took some China sliming tea to help reset my system, so we’ll see how that goes, it’s been in my system for 2 hours so far.
