16:8 mostly (17:17, 18:6 happens or a day with no fast due to social circumstances), 5 months in now. SW: 85kg CW: 78kg, GW: 77kg (for now) 1.77m (F).

I finally reached a healthy bmi, and I’m so freaking happy. My next goal will be to reach a weight where I can easily maintain a healthy body. For now I’ve set my first goal at 77kg, but weight/fat percentage wise 70kg is better. I’ll go on with doing sports, etc. And will see what my set weight is going to be.

5:2/Alternate Day Fasting

Holy crap - the scale moved down again! I’m back to what I was in August! Usually when I try to lose, the scale goes up everyday for a month and then I give up. So this is pretty amazing.

Yesterday, I meant to do 16:8 but got busy and didn’t get lunch until about hour 18. Rather than focusing on CICO, I’m focusing on time restriction but I have been logging my calories at the end of the day to get an idea of I’m eating too much still or not enough. I think yesterday was not enough bc I wasn’t that hungry for dinner and only clocked in at 1200 calories for the day, so I added a handful of almonds to up it a little more. I don’t want to lose too fast bc I don’t have a ton to lose and I’m afraid that I’ll gain it all back and then some.

Trying fasting from all but water / coffee for the first 7.5 hours of the day. Hoping for weight loss- going to do this twice a week for a bit. Stomach is growling but I have meetings to distract today.

I think I finally hit past the plateau of 237/238 as I had a small whoosh this morning down to 235.2.

I discovered yesterday that one of my job benefits through Cigna offers a fitness option through a program called Active & Fit Direct–for 25 a month you have access to any gym in the network and you aren’t stuck in a contract. So for instance, I can visit a Gold gym one week and then switch to an Anytime Fitness. I’m thinking of signing up as I’d like to start doing some weight training and all I’ve got is a treadmill at home. I thought I’d mention the program in case anyone else has Cigna and it’s not super obvious they have the program.

Going to be out of town this weekend so I won’t be able to cook for myself unfortunately, but I’m sure I’ll find some good options.

Checking in for another day

Disappointing to think about how I let myself down lately, but the only way is up. I will not surrender.

Today will be a day of OMAD. I’m super tired after 4 hours sleep from a nightshift, but I’m going to exercise discipline. LETS GOOO

Answer

I’ve been fasting at least 17 hours (usually OMAD so closer to 22, 23 hours) since last week. Yesterday I completed my longest fast to date (45 hours) and today I took my measurements. I’ve lost two inches on my belly and one on my hips and thigh since just last week! Plus I weighed in 10 lbs lighter than I did in July when I started trying to lose weight again…

So motivating to see that I’m on the right track!
