Hey, I’m on hour 28 of ???

I recently had a fairly mild (compared to some) case of covid, but the inflammation in my body had me dealing with a flare up of HS, overactive bladder, a possible blood clot in my leg (just had an ultrasound and no clot, thankfully)… just one angry body.

I was planning on just a water fast (114hrs is my longest) but my doc suggested making some bone broth and drinking that once a day for the health benefits while fasting, so technically a dirty fast.

I’m doing okay so far. Today was my first day working (I work from home) in a week, so keeping busy kept me less focused on feeling hungry. Day two is the worst for me, so fingers crossed the day passes quickly.

I have a lot of weight to lose, but this fast is more about helping my body, so I didn’t do a before weight as I easily get sucked into a numbers game and I’m not focusing on that.

Ideally I will fast for a few days, but definitely listening to my body. It’s been through a lot the last few weeks.

Into my 6th week and seen a decrease in each on average. I was on annual leave from work last week so although I upped my training, my cals stayed the same and I probably drink a little less…so this week so far the scales say I’m up about 0.7kg. I’m trying not to stress and this is probably water stabilising from a reduced level last week. It’s also 1 whole lb more than yesterday which is probably just a mad fluctuation

I’m still 4lb down in these 6 weeks so it’s slow but consistent. Hoping this is just a little bump in the road!

Day2 of Week27, IF, 18/6

SW: 104kg/229lbs; CW: 88kg/194lbs; GW: 85kg/187lbs

Today 87,1kg up from the 86,6kg of yesterday as expected due to the slow digestion.

After today’s last meal, going for the usual rolling 24h with OMAD in the end. Then prefeeding breakfast and starting the weekly 48h fast.

Due to weather fronts I’m having some headaches, some joint pains which will limit the workout and attention span outside of work.

The prefeeding meal will be a copy-paste of the previously described pork roast tortilla-sandwich with sweet chili and cheese. My only problem with it is that the sauce keeps dripping out of the sandwich so it can’t be eaten cleanly.

Second Mondays can still be productive days. Let’s get them results! :P
