Currently doing a fast with just water and tea.

Yesterday I decided to do a 24 hour fast on a whim, but I’m feeling great after 20 hours so I’m thinking about bumping to 48.

I think the occasional fast is good for the body and mind, so I’m doing this as a kind of spring cleaning, I guess. If I lose some weight that will be a bonus, though my weight is already within the normal range.

I started my fast yesterday at 6pm, and I was kind of hungry when I woke up this morning. At midday I went out for a walk (34 Celsius/94 Fahrenheit) and did 8km. Really took the edge off the hunger and I’ve been feeling great since I got back. My feeling is that the heat and the sweat helped, but I can’t be sure.

I’ve plateaued over the last week and have been feeling a severe lack of motivation. I’ve broken fasts earlier than the 23 hour mark 3x over the past week. Started some kind of pre-prepped keto meal subscription around 10 days back and I think that’s the culprit. Stopped consuming it 2 days back, but I’m still feeling bloated af.

I track my calories and macros. A couple weeks ago I upped protein by 5%, but I saw a plateau in weight loss and also my resting heart rate increased?? Took it back to what I was doing previously, and the weight is coming off again, so that’s cool.

Did intermittent fasting a few years ago and lost about 20 pounds, gained it back and then some. Here to try try again! I’m starting with a 16/8, started fasting last night. Have had to continuously redirect myself from reaching for something to eat this morning! Any tips are welcome CW/SW 195GW 145
