I ended my 120+ hour fast yesterday and experienced some mild oxalate dumping symptom. As time passes, the more I fast and the less I eat those high oxalate foods, the less severe the symptoms are becoming.
My fast breaker was some boiled cabbage and lots of meats, lamb, beef and a tiny bit of pork belly (I never usually get pork belly, but my friend was into pork belly so yah 🤷♀️) My dessert was some plain, full fat yogurt. Heavenly.
Slept so good last night, but still woke up energized and ready to take on the day.
Today, I’m dirty fasting with coffee and cream until dinner. Going out again, yay!
Question: I can food prep during my fasting, Right? I have a short eating window, I just wanna make sure I’m not messing something up if I am cooking for the hour before it starts as long as I don’t eat. Can anybody tell me if they’re there any issues with this?
I have been doing IF for about 3 weeks now. I started with 16:8 but found it easy. Most days I do 18:6 and some days I make it to 20:4. I’ve only lost 3 lb. I purchased ketosis strips to see how many hours it takes my body to get into ketosis. I just checked (I am 16 hours in) and no ketones. Why is my body not going into ketosis?
