Day 10/14 and starting to plan for eating again.

I’ve done a number of 4-6 day fasts and haven’t had any intestinal issues by referring with bone broth, then lean meat like sashimi or chicken, then a later meal that includes non-cruciferous veggies. I’ve read a few posts here where people say they’re not eating normally until 5-6 days of eating after a 14 or 21 day fast. Does it really need to take that long? I was planning on maybe 2 days before returning to a keto diet.

Also, I’m so damn bored and miss eating! I’m not hungry, I just miss the actual action of chewing on things and tasting them, lol.

I definitely relate to your last sentiment. I’m on day 11 and I find myself just absentmindedly scrolling through pictures of food, dreaming of when I can eat them again lol.

I’m in the process of a 31 day fast (all of January!) and am only planning a 7 day plan for refeeding. I also plan on supplementing phosphorus for two weeks beforehand though, too.

I’ve done a 14 day fast, broke it with beef ribs from Chili’s. Apple Watch was giving me all sorts of high heart rate warnings (170 bpm).

Then fasted another 14 days the next day, broke it with ribs from Chili’s again (didn’t learn my lesson. Those ribs are good). Same bpm.

Now I’m on 4 of hopefully a 21 day, but will get watermelons and bone broth this time.

Start with broth and eggs. Avoid fiber (insoluble at the very least), avoid sugar. It can take that long, though. If you rush it, it’ll hurt. I personally wouldn’t do chicken too early, either, but it has a habit of sticking around in my system a while.
